Netscape Navigator v3.x

This page describes how to configure Netscape Navigator to access your POP email box. For general information about POP email, please see POP Email Accounts.

1. Select Mail and News Preferences... from Options menu.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the Servers tab at the top of the dialog box.
   • For Outgoing Mail Server: enter the SMTP server provided by your ISP. UNIX hosting users may enter smtp..
   • For Incoming Mail Server: enter .
   • For POP3 User Name: enter the popID you specified when you created the POP mailbox.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the Identity tab at the top of the dialog box.
   • For Name: enter your name.
   • For Your Email: enter the email address for the POP mailbox.
   • For Reply-to Address: enter your email address.
   
   
   
   
   

All the other settings are optional. Choosing Netscape Mail from the Window pull-down menu will then open a box that will allow you read and send mail.
